ABOUT THE AUTHOR
David Smurthwaite is the epitome of faking it until you make it. He spent the first 15 years of his career in advertising, working hard to convince the world to buy things they could usually live without.

That all changed when, in 2015, he and his wife decided to make a significant life change on behalf of their growing family and move to the French countryside.
​
David has been a top writer on Medium in Travel, Parenting, & Short Stories. He's a father of four rapidly-growing boys, husband to a near-perfect companion, and co-founder of MindTrip, a company dedicated to helping families pick up and have life-changing experiences around the world.
